about Patti

Patti Rieser is a Brown and Green Belt Teacher who discovered Nia® in the late 90's and danced alone with videos until Nia exploded in the Triangle. She is a retired nurse practitioner, clinical researcher, and science writer. After practicing Vipassana meditation, yoga, and martial arts for years, she appreciates how Nia brings them together in a way that supports health, personal growth, and community. She has guided talking staff councils and wilderness vision quests, and she loves the dark and the gifts it holds.
