Nia 1st Degree Black Belt Teacher
Karen Firebaugh, a licensed Nia® 1st Degree Black Belt Teacher, fell in love with Nia in 2012 before she even danced a step! She's a Nia training-nerd, hooked on Spotify and creating playlists, and loves sharing this powerful movement practice--seems like her personal motto is "Have Nia, Will Travel." Karen weaves together her specialties of Nia FreeDance, Nia Moving to Heal, and Classic Nia to deliver the creative expression of dance, the power of martial arts, and the functional movement of the healing arts--Your Body's Way. Karen also leads Nia FreeDance experiences and teaches Nia Moving to Heal. Karen is a doTERRA Wellness Advocate and somehow essential oils find their way into her classes. She is also a MELT Method® Hand & Foot Instructor.
Karen teaches Nia classes and workshops in Pittsboro, teaches in Greensboro, and teaches pop-up classes and workshops in Sewanee TN and Belfast ME.
